Prashant Kishor Declares ₹96 Crore Assets, Homes in Delhi & Patna for Bankipur Bypoll

Political strategist Prashant Kishor has declared assets exceeding ₹96 crore in his election affidavit for the upcoming Bankipur Assembly bypoll. His holdings include substantial corporate equity and residential properties in Delhi, Patna, and Ghaziabad.

Political strategist and Jan Suraaj Party founder Prashant Kishor has declared personal assets worth over ₹96 crore in his election affidavit for the Bankipur Assembly bypoll. Kishor filed his nomination papers on Monday after leading a padyatra in the constituency, where he aims to contest the July 30 election.

Asset Breakdown: Movable, Immovable, and Corporate Equity

According to the affidavit, Kishor's total assets stand at ₹96.06 crore, comprising ₹22.19 crore in movable assets and ₹73.87 crore in immovable assets. His wife also declared significant assets, with ₹89.51 crore in movable holdings and ₹12.42 crore in immovable property.

The largest portion of Kishor's declared wealth is his 100% controlling stake in Vedhas Ventures Private Limited, valued at ₹95.26 crore. Beyond this corporate equity, he holds over ₹7.36 crore in bank fixed deposits and other market-linked investments. The affidavit also notes ₹65,570 in cash for Kishor, while his wife possesses ₹1,95,200.

Real Estate Holdings Across India

Kishor's real estate portfolio includes a dismantled rice mill spread across more than three acres in Rohtas, Bihar. He also owns residential properties in Patliputra Colony, Patna; Vasant Vihar, New Delhi; and Ghaziabad.

Criminal Cases and Educational Background

The affidavit further discloses eight pending criminal cases against Kishor, predominantly registered in 2024 and 2025. These cases involve allegations such as unlawful assembly, rioting, obstructing public servants, criminal conspiracy, and criminal defamation. It is stated that Kishor has not been convicted in any of these cases, and no formal charges have been framed against him.

Regarding his education, Kishor completed his Class 10 in 1991 from M.P. High School, Buxar, and Class 12 in 1993 from Patna Science College. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from the University of Lucknow (1996-1999) and a Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) from the Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI), Hyderabad.

Bankipur Bypoll Details

The Bankipur Assembly bypoll is scheduled for July 30, with vote counting on August 3. Kishor will be contesting against RJD's Rekha Kumari Gupta and BJP's Neeraj Kumar Sinha in this election.
