Oberoi Hotels & Resorts has announced plans to open The Oberoi Sukoonvilas in Wadi Safar, Saudi Arabia, during the first quarter of 2027. This highly anticipated luxury resort will be the inaugural hotel in Wadi Safar, a developing destination near Riyadh focused on heritage, culture, wellbeing, and nature.
A New Sanctuary of Luxury in Wadi Safar
The Oberoi Sukoonvilas is currently under development approximately 30 minutes from Riyadh, strategically positioned near At-Turaif, a UNESCO World Heritage Site within Diriyah. The resort will span over 37 acres of meticulously landscaped terrain, perched atop a 70-meter escarpment, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding desert valleys.
The property will feature 60 standalone villas and 10 exclusive branded residences, designed to blend seamlessly with the natural environment. International architecture firm Aedas is responsible for the resort's design, which draws heavily on traditional Najdi architecture, while global design studio Blink is handling the interiors. The aesthetic will incorporate shaded courtyards, tranquil waterbodies, and both indoor and outdoor spaces that foster a deep connection to the locale.

Guests at The Oberoi Sukoonvilas will have access to four distinct dining experiences:
- Yatra: Offering contemporary Indian cuisine curated by Michelin-starred chef Rohit Ghai.

- Beyla: Serving a diverse range of international cuisine.
- A dedicated venue for relaxed poolside dining overlooking the escarpment.
The resort will also boast a magnificent 65-meter infinity pool, designed to provide stunning vistas across Wadi Safar.
