NSE IPO: SBI, IFCI, NIACL See New Technical Targets Ahead of Mega Offering

· · 2 min read

Ahead of the NSE's mega IPO, technical analysis from YES Securities suggests new target prices for SBI, IFCI, and NIACL. IFCI faces resistance, NIACL shows profit booking, while SBI exhibits a cautious bearish sentiment.

As the National Stock Exchange (NSE) gears up for its highly anticipated mega Initial Public Offering (IPO), investor interest has intensified in the shares of selling beneficiaries such as IFCI Ltd, New India Assurance Company Ltd (NIACL), and State Bank of India (SBI). Technical analysis by Laxmikant Shukla, Technical Research Analyst at YES Securities, offers fresh insights into the potential price movements for these counters.

New India Assurance Company (NIACL) Outlook

After a significant rally from Rs 162 to Rs 242, NIACL is currently experiencing profit booking, signaling a potential short-term pause or correction. The formation of a morning doji star candlestick pattern suggests a weakening of bullish momentum. Immediate support for NIACL shares is identified in the Rs 190-192 range, aligning with its 20-Simple Moving Average (SMA). A breach below this critical support could escalate selling pressure, potentially pushing the price towards the Rs 183-180 levels. For a revival of bullish sentiment, the stock needs to convincingly move and sustain above Rs 220; until then, a sustained uptrend appears limited.

IFCI Ltd. Technical Analysis

IFCI is encountering significant resistance within the Rs 108-110 range, which is near its recent swing high. The appearance of multiple bearish candlestick patterns at this key resistance level indicates a temporary slowdown in momentum. Despite this, strong support levels are in place at Rs 87-83, followed by Rs 79. The overall outlook for IFCI remains positive as long as it holds above these support zones. A decisive breakout above Rs 110 could trigger further upward movement, potentially driving the stock towards the Rs 125 mark.

State Bank of India (SBI) Price Targets

State Bank of India (SBIN) shares have been forming lower tops and lower bottoms, indicating a bearish sentiment at current levels. A short-term support zone is likely to emerge around Rs 990, corresponding with its previous swing low. However, if the price fails to stage a meaningful recovery from this area, further downside could be triggered. A breakdown below this support range might drag the stock towards the Rs 960 to Rs 950 regions. The broader outlook for SBI remains cautious unless the stock achieves a decisive move above the strong resistance near the Rs 1,040-1,050 zone, as only a clear breakout beyond this level would signal a potential shift in the prevailing trend.
