Mastek Shares Jump 5% After Launching AI-Native Services-as-Software Strategy

· · 2 min read

Mastek Ltd. shares surged 5% Monday after the company unveiled its AI-native Services as Software (SaaS) strategy. This initiative aims to deliver measurable business outcomes and cut software subscription costs for enterprises.

Mastek Ltd. experienced a notable surge in its share price Monday, climbing 4.74% to Rs 1,629.90. The rise followed the company's announcement of a significant strategic shift towards AI-native Services as Software (SaaS), designed to offer tangible business results and reduce software expenditure for its clients.

The new SaaS strategy is built upon three core tenets: delivering concrete business outcomes, transforming traditional systems of record into intelligent systems, and focusing on selling results while simultaneously lowering software costs. Mastek plans to deploy this innovative approach across its key industry verticals, aiming to simplify technology environments and accelerate digital transformation for its enterprise customers.

AI-Native CRM as First Proof Point

As a foundational demonstration of its new strategy, Mastek has developed and deployed an AI-native CRM solution, which has successfully replaced its own legacy CRM system. This advanced platform was conceptualized and built at the Mastek AI Center of Excellence and rigorously tested using the company's 'Customer Zero' approach before global deployment.

Currently supporting Mastek's worldwide sales and marketing teams in live production, the AI-native CRM is projected to enhance win probability by 10%. It achieves this by leveraging contextual data to evolve the CRM from a mere record-keeping system into an intelligent system capable of driving execution and informed decision-making.

"Our learning is that applying AI to just speed up old ways of working will only give a good use case for AI to deliver a tangible business benefit. Organizations must reimagine their processes and reskill their talent," stated Umang Nahata, CEO of Mastek.

Mastek Hub Enhances Knowledge and Sales

Complementing its AI-native services, Mastek has also established Mastek Hub, a centralized knowledge platform. According to Ritwik Batabyal, CTIO at Mastek, the MastekCRM integrates customer case studies, project experiences, proposal assets, and business intelligence. This rich data empowers AI-driven decision-making, helping sales teams to better prepare for client meetings, improve forecasting accuracy, capture institutional knowledge, and surface relevant recommendations in real time.

Mastek clarified that its strategic pivot is not intended to transform it into a software product company. Instead, the firm is positioning its new model as a services-led offering, combining deep domain expertise with advanced AI, data analytics, and engineering capabilities to provide continuously evolving business solutions.
