A social media influencer in Madhya Pradesh has become the victim of a significant theft, with police investigating whether her frequent online displays of wealth made her a target. Rachna Gurjar, a content creator from Shivpuri district, regularly posted videos showcasing expensive gold ornaments, silver jewellery, and bundles of cash, cultivating a following by documenting her lavish lifestyle.
Home Burgled in Mohni Village
According to police reports, unidentified thieves broke into Gurjar’s residence in Mohni village. They reportedly made off with gold jewellery, silver ornaments, cash, and other valuables estimated to be worth several lakhs of rupees. The burglary occurred during the night and appeared to be meticulously planned.
Investigation Underway
Investigators reviewing CCTV footage discovered that the suspects allegedly used a ladder to gain entry to the property. Prior to the theft, they reportedly tampered with surveillance equipment in an attempt to avoid being captured on camera. After entering, the burglars ransacked the house, forcing open cupboards and searching for valuables before escaping.
The Gurjar family later discovered the theft and promptly alerted law enforcement. Images from the crime scene depicted rooms in disarray, with personal belongings scattered across the house, indicating a thorough search by the intruders.
