L&T Reports Strong Q1 FY27: Profit Up 14% to ₹4,123 Cr, Revenue Rises 7%

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) announced a 14% year-on-year rise in consolidated profit after tax to ₹4,123 crore for Q1 FY27. Revenue also grew by 7% to ₹67,942 crore, driven by robust order inflows across various segments.

Mumbai, India – Larsen & Toubro (L&T) on Tuesday reported a significant financial uplift for the first quarter of fiscal year 2027, with its consolidated profit after tax (PAT) climbing 14% year-on-year to ₹4,123 crore for the period ending June 30, 2026.

The engineering and construction conglomerate also saw its consolidated revenue grow by 7% from the previous year, reaching ₹67,942 crore. This revenue increase was primarily fueled by strong progress across several of the company's diverse business operations. International revenues played a crucial role, contributing ₹34,393 crore, which accounts for 51% of the total revenue for the quarter.

Robust Order Inflow Bolsters Growth

L&T secured substantial new orders during the June quarter, amounting to ₹1,08,014 crore, marking a 14% year-on-year increase. The company highlighted that significant wins were achieved across multiple sectors, including Residential & Commercial buildings, Transportation Infrastructure, Ferrous Metals, Offshore Wind, and Heavy Engineering businesses. International orders were particularly strong, contributing ₹60,702 crore, or 56% of the total order inflow.

As of June 30, 2026, the group's consolidated order book stood at an impressive ₹7,78,954 crore, reflecting a 5% growth compared to March 2026. International orders constitute 52% of this overall order book, underscoring L&T's global reach and market presence.

Strategic Divestments and Outlook

Commenting on the quarterly performance, S N Subrahmanyan, Chairman and Managing Director, noted the company's resilience amidst geopolitical uncertainties. He stated, “The Company has managed to maintain momentum by rotating its focus across sectors and geographies while maintaining robust cash flows. The performance for the quarter reflects our portfolio resilience.”

Subrahmanyan also confirmed strategic divestments during the quarter, including the successful sale of Nabha Power Limited, aligning with L&T's strategy to exit its concessions portfolio. Furthermore, a share purchase agreement was signed with Hyderabad Metro Rail Ltd (HMRL) to divest L&T's entire stake in the Hyderabad Metro SPV.

“With a well-diversified portfolio spanning sectors and geographies, we remain confident of maintaining growth while capitalising on emerging opportunities. Our continued focus on disciplined execution with innovation positions us well to deliver sustainable long-term value for stakeholders,” Subrahmanyan added.

Following the earnings announcement after market hours on Tuesday, L&T shares closed 0.75% higher at ₹3,832.75 on the BSE.
