· · 2 min read

Krystal Integrated Services has won a three-year, Rs 134 crore contract from MSRTC to manage housekeeping, sanitation, and maintenance across public transport facilities in Mumbai and Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar. This aims to improve cleanliness and upkeep for commuters.

Krystal to Oversee MSRTC Facility Maintenance

Krystal Integrated Services has been awarded a significant three-year work order valued at Rs 134 crore by the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC). The contract, issued on August 18, 2026, positions Krystal to enhance the upkeep of public transport facilities across key regions.

Under the terms of the agreement, Krystal will provide a comprehensive suite of facility management services. These include essential housekeeping, sanitation, technical maintenance, and other critical support operations for MSRTC facilities in Mumbai and Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar.

Enhanced Commuter Experience Expected

This substantial contract is expected to bring tangible improvements for Mumbai commuters and those in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar. The focus is squarely on elevating the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall maintenance standards at MSRTC's various facilities over the next three years. It is important to note that this order specifically addresses facility management and does not involve the procurement of new buses, expansion of routes, or new infrastructure development.

For Mumbai, the deal marks a significant step, integrating a private facility management firm into a long-term role for the daily upkeep of state-run transport infrastructure. While specific individual locations or the exact number of facilities and employees covered in Mumbai are not detailed, the broad scope promises a noticeable upgrade in the quality of public transport environments.

Krystal's Expanding Public Sector Portfolio

The MSRTC contract further bolsters Krystal's growing presence in government and public-sector projects. This win follows other notable successes, including a 40% share (approximately Rs 296.03 crore) in two large work orders from the Maharashtra Urban Development Mission Directorate's Swachh Maharashtra Mission (U) 2.0.

Other recent achievements for the company encompass a Rs 364 crore healthcare facility management contract with the Tamil Nadu Medical Services Corporation, a Rs 27.64 crore cleaning and sanitation order from Andhra Pradesh's BC Welfare Department, and a four-year, Rs 24.38 crore housekeeping and maintenance contract for Maharashtra Sadan in New Delhi.

The latest order coincides with Krystal's steady financial growth. The company reported an 11.65% year-on-year increase in revenue from operations to Rs 360.71 crore in Q1FY27. During the same period, EBITDA rose by 6.76% to Rs 22.80 crore, and profit after tax saw a 6.30% increase, reaching Rs 17.36 crore.
