Khan Sir Faces Arms Act FIR Amid Patna Coaching Institute Clash

· · 2 min read

Popular educator Khan Sir is under investigation after Bihar Police filed an FIR under the Arms Act. This follows a violent clash and alleged firing incident involving his Khan Global Studies institute and a rival coaching center in Patna on June 2. Khan Sir denies involvement, claiming his institute was attacked.

Popular educator and YouTuber Khan Sir, whose real name is Faisal Khan, is now under formal investigation after Bihar Police registered a First Information Report (FIR) against him under the Arms Act. The FIR stems from a violent clash and alleged firing incident that occurred outside his prominent coaching center, Khan Global Studies (KGS), in Patna on June 2.

Details of the Incident and Allegations

The incident took place in Patna's Musallahpur area, a known hub for coaching institutes. According to police, a group of 15-20 individuals, reportedly linked to a rival Gyan Bindu coaching institute, allegedly vandalized the KGS premises, damaged property, and assaulted security personnel. One guard was injured and hospitalized.

Initially, Khan Sir claimed that 8 to 10 rounds of gunfire were discharged outside his institute and accused the rival center of orchestrating the attack. He suggested that KGS's affordable fee structure and strong examination results made it a target for competitors.

Video Evidence and Police Action

However, the investigation took a significant turn when a video surfaced on social media. This footage purportedly showed two security guards associated with Khan Global Studies firing shots into the air following the confrontation. After verifying the video, Patna Police registered a separate case, detained the two guards for questioning, and seized the weapons allegedly used for forensic examination.

Reports indicate that the FIR against Khan Sir includes allegations that he instructed his security personnel to open fire during the clash. Police are actively investigating these claims and have questioned the educator as part of their ongoing probe.

Khan Sir's Denial and Broader Context

Khan Sir has vehemently denied any involvement in the firing incident, maintaining that his institute was the victim of a premeditated attack. Earlier, police arrested Raushan Anand, director of a rival coaching institute, along with two others in connection with the initial vandalism case.

Investigators believe that intense rivalry among coaching centers, particularly concerning claims of student success in Bihar Police recruitment examinations, may have fueled the conflict. The controversy has also ignited a broader discussion about the regulation of Bihar's rapidly expanding coaching industry, with state ministers suggesting the introduction of stricter guidelines and oversight mechanisms to prevent similar incidents in the future.
