KFin Technologies shares surged nearly 9% after reporting better-than-expected Q1 FY27 profit, driven by operational efficiency and robust international solutions growth. The board also approved a final dividend of Rs 12 per share.

Shares of KFin Technologies Ltd experienced a significant jump of 8.95 percent, reaching a high of Rs 934.80 in Monday's trading session. This surge followed the company's announcement of better-than-expected profit for the June quarter of fiscal year 2027.

According to an analysis by Motilal Oswal Financial Services Ltd (MOFSL), KFin Technologies reported a net profit (PAT) of Rs 75.2 crore for Q1 FY27. While this figure represented a 3 percent decline year-on-year (YoY) and a 7 percent decrease quarter-on-quarter (QoQ), it impressively surpassed the brokerage's estimates by approximately 7 percent, primarily attributed to enhanced operational efficiency. The PAT margin for the quarter stood at 21.1 percent, compared to 28.2 percent in Q1 FY26.

KFin Technologies' operating revenue for the June quarter rose 30 percent YoY and 3 percent QoQ, reaching Rs 360 crore, largely aligning with market expectations. A deeper look into revenue streams reveals varied performance:

  • Domestic Mutual Fund Solutions: Grew by 7 percent YoY.
