A Kerala businessman based in Ajman, Brijaesh Madambi Bhaskaran, along with five friends, has secured a 200-gram, 24-carat gold bar in a recent Big Ticket e-draw in the UAE. The 44-year-old, who runs a business in Ajman, has been a regular participant in the Big Ticket draws for approximately three years.
This time, the group decided against choosing specific numbers, opting instead for a randomly selected ticket. This decision proved fortuitous when their entry was announced as a winner in Big Ticket's second weekly e-draw for October.
“I was so happy when I found out that we had won. I honestly couldn't believe it at first, especially since we had selected the ticket randomly. It was such a wonderful surprise for all of us,” Bhaskaran told Gulf News.
The 200-gram gold bar will be equally divided among the six friends. Bhaskaran has yet to decide on the use of his share of the prize. The unexpected win has, however, encouraged the group to continue participating in future draws together.
Other Winners in October's E-Draw
Bhaskaran's group was not the sole recipient of gold bars in October's draw. Three other individuals also won 200-gram, 24-carat gold bars:
- Manikanta Adabala: A 33-year-old service engineer from Andhra Pradesh, India, residing in Dubai for four years.
- Aloha Abelgas: An assistant manager from the Philippines.
- Jonathan Javed: Originally from Pakistan, a resident of Abu Dhabi for nearly a decade.
Meanwhile, Big Ticket's October promotion continues to offer participants a chance to win a grand prize of Dh25 million. The announcement for this jackpot winner is scheduled for a live draw on November 3, 2026.
