· · 2 min read

Kawasaki India will open bookings for its new Z300 streetfighter motorcycle on October 19. The highly anticipated bike, expected to be the most accessible in its Z lineup, will see full pricing and specifications revealed on October 20.

Kawasaki India is set to launch its latest streetfighter motorcycle, the Z300, with bookings officially commencing on October 19. This new model, based on the proven Ninja 300 platform, aims to become the most accessible offering in Kawasaki’s Z series for the Indian market.

Official Launch Details and Pricing

While bookings for the Kawasaki Z300 open nationwide on October 19, the complete pricing details, variants, and full specifications are expected to be officially revealed the following day, October 20. Industry estimates suggest an ex-showroom price of approximately ₹3 lakh, positioning it competitively in the premium entry-level segment.

Dealer Showcases Underway

Ahead of its public launch, Kawasaki has been showcasing the Z300 to its dealer network. A private event was held in Bengaluru, giving dealers an early look at the motorcycle. Further previews are scheduled for Mumbai and Pune on October 18, ensuring the sales network is well-prepared for the anticipated demand.

Engine and Performance

The new Z300 shares its core mechanics with the Ninja 300, featuring a robust 296 cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine. This powerplant is expected to produce around 39 hp and will be paired with a six-speed gearbox, promising a refined and engaging riding experience characteristic of Kawasaki's twin-cylinder offerings.

Design and Features

In terms of aesthetics, the Z300 adopts an aggressive naked bike design, drawing inspiration from the larger Z900 and incorporating Kawasaki’s signature Sugomi styling. Riders can expect an upright riding position, sharp bodywork, and compact proportions, making it suitable for both city commutes and highway cruising. Key features include a modern colour TFT instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity and dual-channel ABS for enhanced safety.

Colour Options and Competition

Kawasaki will offer the Z300 in two distinct colour options: Green and Black. Upon its launch, the Z300 will enter a competitive segment, directly challenging established premium streetfighters such as the KTM 390 Duke and the TVS Apache RTR 310. Its twin-cylinder engine is expected to provide a unique proposition against these single-cylinder rivals, appealing to riders seeking smoother power delivery and a distinctive Kawasaki character.
