Kalpataru Projects International Ltd. announced new order wins totaling Rs 2,225 crore across its power transmission and distribution business and its Swedish subsidiary. Following the October 13 announcement, the company's shares saw a nearly 2% increase.

Kalpataru Projects International Ltd. (KPIL) saw its shares rise by approximately 2% on Tuesday following the announcement of new order acquisitions valued at Rs 2,225 crore. These significant wins span the company's core power transmission and distribution (T&D) operations both in India and internationally, alongside a substantial contract secured by its Swedish subsidiary.

Details of the New Orders

The engineering and construction firm confirmed that its T&D business secured orders and a letter of comfort amounting to approximately Rs 2,031 crore. In addition, Linjemontage i Grästorp AB, KPIL's Swedish subsidiary, was awarded an order worth around Rs 194 crore. This combined influx of projects was formally announced on October 13.

Manish Mohnot, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Kalpataru Projects, expressed satisfaction with the development. He noted that the new orders in the T&D sector underscore the company's robust execution capabilities, technical expertise, and growing confidence from clients. Mohnot also highlighted that the demand for such projects is being fueled by ongoing investments in transmission infrastructure, grid expansion, and the integration of renewable energy sources across India and global markets.

Mohnot further commented that favorable industry trends, combined with KPIL's comprehensive integrated EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) offerings within its T&D business, position the company strongly for sustained growth.

Strong Fiscal Year for KPIL

These latest wins contribute to a formidable financial year for Kalpataru Projects. According to Mohnot, the company has secured orders valued at approximately Rs 20,000 crore so far in the current fiscal year, representing an impressive year-on-year growth exceeding 30%. KPIL's diverse operational portfolio includes power transmission and distribution, buildings and factories, water supply and treatment, railways, oil and gas infrastructure, urban mobility, highways, and airports. The company reported a revenue of Rs 27,143 crore in the previous fiscal year and is currently managing over 250 projects across more than 30 countries.
