Mithun Chakraborty and his wife acquired the expansive estate in 1985, shortly after the birth of their eldest son, Mimoh. Initially serving as a holiday retreat, the family made it their full-time home in 2007 upon returning from Ooty. The property, reportedly named Mimoh Cottage after his son, is enveloped by lush greenery and provides ample space for the family's pets.
Independent Living, Shared Spaces
Breaking from the traditional single-roof living, the estate's design emphasizes individual space. Namashi explained that his father and grandfather believed in providing each child with their own area, leading to the creation of separate cottages for different family members. This unique layout includes a dedicated cottage for Mithun and his wife when they are in Mumbai, alongside a separate cottage reserved for guests.
Facilities for Fitness, Work, and Creativity
Beyond personal living quarters, Mimoh Cottage boasts several specialized facilities. One cottage has been fully converted into a private, well-equipped gym for the family. Another serves as a functional office space where all film-related discussions, including script readings and project planning, take place. This office is also said to feature a rich collection of photographs, awards, and memorabilia chronicling Mithun Chakraborty's illustrious film career.
A significant portion of the property has been transformed into a professional film studio, dubbed Myrnd Bungalow. This facility is actively utilized by Mithun's sons for their film shoots and set constructions. It is also available for external film productions and even special events like weddings, highlighting its versatility and commercial potential.

The estate has a history of hosting grand Diwali celebrations, drawing notable personalities from the film industry, including legendary actors like Dharmendra and Jeetendra.
