India's primary market is gearing up for an exceptionally active week, with a total of 20 Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) scheduled to open for subscription. These issues, spanning both the mainboard and Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) segments, aim to collectively raise approximately ₹1,292 crore. Concurrently, another 20 companies are set to make their stock market debuts through listings on various exchanges.
Mainboard and SME Offerings
The upcoming week will see four mainboard IPOs: SRIT India, Vishal Nirmiti, Nityas Gems & Jewellery, and Shah Investor’s Home. These four companies are collectively targeting a fundraising goal of ₹595 crore. The remaining activity will be driven by the SME segment, with 16 companies planning to raise about ₹697 crore.
This busy schedule follows a robust previous week, which saw 11 mainboard and 17 SME IPOs launched, cumulatively raising ₹7,260 crore. Siddhartha Khemka, Head of Research at Motilal Oswal Financial Services, noted the primary market's resilience, particularly in the mid- and small-cap sectors, despite the Nifty's broader performance.

Investor Sentiment and Market Outlook
Experts highlight a shift in investor behavior, with increasing discernment towards valuations, earnings visibility, and business fundamentals. Kresha Gupta of Steptrade Capital emphasizes that the real opportunity in SME investments lies in tapping businesses early in their growth journey, rather than solely focusing on listing gains. Kamraj Singh Negi, MD & CEO at Pantomath Capital, points out that while the pipeline is strong, investor selectivity will ultimately determine the success of these issues.
“The activity in the SME IPO segment reflects continued confidence among companies in the public markets as a source of growth capital,” said CA Sandeep Gupta, Director at Valmiki Leela Capital.
This dynamic environment underscores a primary market that is becoming increasingly broad-based, offering diverse opportunities for both companies seeking capital and investors looking for growth.
