Indian Market Faces Flat Open; RIL, IDBI Bank, Tata Tech Lead Stock Focus

· · 3 min read

Indian equity markets are set for a flat opening on Thursday, October 15, 2026, influenced by global inflation figures and rate hike expectations. Several key stocks, including Reliance Industries, IDBI Bank, and Dr. Reddy's Labs, are expected to be in focus due to recent corporate actions and quarterly results.

Indian equity markets are anticipated to open flat on Thursday, October 15, 2026, mirroring a global sell-off in US and Asian markets. This muted start is largely attributed to persistent hot inflation figures and expectations of further interest rate hikes. GIFT Nifty futures indicated a minimal rise of 6.50 points, or 0.02 percent, reaching 22,655 on the NSE International Exchange, suggesting a subdued beginning for domestic trading.
