· · 2 min read

The box office clash between "Hanuman Ansh" and "Mirzapur: The Movie" shows contrasting success. While the devotional drama now leads in India net collections, the crime thriller maintains a stronger worldwide gross, nearing ₹300 crore globally.

The highly anticipated box office clash between the devotional drama Hanuman Ansh and the crime thriller Mirzapur: The Movie has revealed fascinatingly different trajectories. While the Neem Karoli Baba biopic, Hanuman Ansh, has established a strong lead in cumulative India net collections, the Ali Fazal and Pankaj Tripathi-starrer Mirzapur: The Movie holds a significant advantage in worldwide gross earnings, nearing the ₹300 crore mark globally.

"Hanuman Ansh" Shows Sustained Domestic Power

Hanuman Ansh, initially a slower starter, has demonstrated remarkable staying power at the Indian box office. On its 41st day, the film collected approximately ₹6 crore net, surpassing Mirzapur: The Movie's ₹3.75 crore net on its 13th day. This consistent performance has propelled Hanuman Ansh's total India net collection to ₹237.13 crore. Its India gross collections have also crossed ₹280 crore, indicating a strong domestic run that continues to outperform its newer competitor on comparable weekdays and weekends.

"Mirzapur" Dominates Global Stage with Rapid Start

In stark contrast, Mirzapur: The Movie exploded onto the scene, quickly amassing roughly ₹93.75 crore India net within its first three days. Although its domestic net collections, at ₹199.45 crore by Day 13, trail Hanuman Ansh, its aggressive overseas push has secured a substantial worldwide lead. By Day 13, reports placed Mirzapur's global gross around ₹285.64 crore, with a clear ambition to hit the ₹300 crore milestone, primarily driven by strong international performance and an India gross exceeding ₹230 crore.

Contrasting Strategies, Different Victories

The clash highlights two distinct paths to box office success. Mirzapur: The Movie leveraged immediate fan anticipation and a wider global release strategy, achieving rapid initial earnings. Hanuman Ansh, on the other hand, built its success gradually through word-of-mouth and sustained audience engagement, proving that a strong narrative can carry a film for an extended period domestically. While Hanuman Ansh leads the domestic race, Mirzapur: The Movie's impressive overseas figures ensure its global dominance.
