The incident came to light on the evening of September 11 when the former pilot's brother grew concerned after repeated attempts to contact him went unanswered. The brother subsequently alerted the hotel management, who then proceeded to the guest's room.

Investigation Initiated After Discovery

Upon arrival at the room, hotel staff found the door locked from the inside. They gained entry using a master key and discovered the former pilot lying unconscious and unresponsive. Hotel personnel immediately contacted the police.
