EIH Limited, the renowned flagship hospitality company of The Oberoi Group, has announced a significant strategic partnership with Bhartiya Hospitality, a division of the Bhartiya Group. This collaboration aims to develop and operate a portfolio of 20 wellness-focused, uber-luxury lifestyle resorts across various destinations in India and select international markets.
The ambitious project reflects a growing consumer demand for immersive, health-oriented travel experiences. The first three properties under this partnership have already been identified for development in the picturesque regions of Coorg, Kabini, and Hampi, with their grand openings anticipated by 2030.
A Synergistic Partnership for "Joyful Wellness"
This alliance brings together Bhartiya Group's extensive experience in developing integrated lifestyle communities with EIH's long-standing legacy in luxury hospitality. The core vision is to create resorts that are not just opulent but are deeply centred on innovative design, comprehensive wellness programs, and highly personalized guest experiences.
According to the partners, these resorts will embrace a philosophy of "joyful wellness." This approach moves beyond traditional, regimented wellness programs, instead offering experiences focused on mindful dining, restorative therapies, reflective practices, and overall emotional well-being. The emphasis will be on fostering an environment where guests can truly surrender, nourish, and evolve.
Design and Experience at the Forefront
Arjun Oberoi, Executive Chairman of The Oberoi Group, highlighted the pivotal role of design in shaping the guest journey. "Design will be at the heart of each resort, with immersive gardens and thoughtfully articulated spaces shaping the guest experience," he stated. He further emphasized the seamless interplay between architecture and landscape, designed to create environments that are both restorative and inspiring.
The properties are envisioned to feature immersive gardens and seamless indoor-outdoor living spaces. Their architecture will be carefully crafted to balance private retreats with inviting shared social areas, catering to diverse guest preferences.
Meeting Evolving Luxury Travel Preferences
Snehdeep Aggarwal, Founder and Chairman of Bhartiya Group, expressed his vision for the collaboration: "More than just resorts, I dream of creating blue zones where people live, laugh, and love more. In this new world, people will come to surrender, nourish, and evolve—wellness here feels joyful and abundant."
The concept behind these new resorts directly addresses changing consumer preferences within the luxury hospitality sector. Guests are increasingly prioritizing unique experiences and highly personalized service, valuing these aspects as much as, if not more than, physical opulence.
Vikram Oberoi, CEO of The Oberoi Group, noted that this partnership allows EIH to expand its renowned philosophy of personalized service into an enhanced wellness-focused offering. He added that with resorts strategically located in destinations encouraging longer stays, every interaction will be meticulously crafted to stimulate the senses and create lasting memories, ensuring guests depart with a strong desire to return.
The long-term objective of this partnership is to establish a robust portfolio of 20 ultra-luxury lifestyle resorts, catering to the burgeoning demand for sophisticated, wellness-oriented travel experiences both domestically and internationally.
