The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has announced 750 lifetime membership slots for the iconic Roshanara Club. Prices start at Rs 4 lakh plus GST, with registration opening on August 28 and closing October 27, 2026.

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has initiated a new lifetime membership scheme for the historic Roshanara Club, making 750 exclusive slots available. This move aims to broaden public access to the club's extensive sports, fitness, and leisure facilities located in North Delhi.

Membership Details and Pricing

Prospective members can apply for the lifetime scheme with registration commencing on August 28, 2026, and concluding on October 27, 2026. Applications and payments will be processed via the club's official website.

  • Non-Government Category: 400 memberships are priced at Rs 12.50 lakh each, plus GST.
  • Government and PSU Category: 350 memberships are available at a reduced rate of Rs 4 lakh each, plus GST.

This initiative aligns with Delhi Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu's vision to enhance the "Ease of Living" for residents by improving access to recreational and sports amenities across the city.

Facilities at Roshanara Club

Spread across 22 acres of verdant landscape in Shakti Nagar, North Delhi, the Roshanara Club offers a wide array of amenities:

  • A dedicated cricket ground with practice pitches, suitable for tournaments and corporate events.
  • Multiple courts for tennis, squash, basketball, and badminton.
  • A multi-gym and modern fitness centre.
  • Professional coaching in select sports disciplines.
  • Recreational spaces including a lounge, restaurant, cafe, and bar.
  • Banquet facilities, a dedicated kids' zone, and rooms for billiards and cards.

Access to these facilities will be subject to prescribed charges for members.

A Legacy of Sports and History

Established over a century ago, the Roshanara Club holds significant historical importance, particularly as the recognized birthplace of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The DDA officially took over the club's operations on September 29, 2023, marking a new chapter in its long history.
