DCB Bank Offers 7.50% on FDs as Union & Indian Banks Also Revise Rates

DCB Bank now offers up to 7.50% interest on fixed deposits for general customers, with even higher rates for seniors. Union Bank of India and Indian Bank have also revised their FD rates, providing competitive options for savers seeking stable returns.

Several prominent Indian banks have adjusted their fixed deposit (FD) interest rates, offering savers new opportunities for their investments. Among the recent revisions, DCB Bank stands out with a leading rate of 7.50% for general customers, while Union Bank of India and Indian Bank have also announced updated schemes.

DCB Bank Leads with High FD Returns

Effective August 4, 2026, DCB Bank has revised its fixed deposit rates, positioning itself as a top choice for many savers. General customers can now earn up to 7.50% on specific tenures. For senior citizens aged 60 to below 70 years, the rate climbs to 8.00%, and for those aged 70 years and above (categorized as Senior Citizens Plus), the interest rate can reach an impressive 8.05%.

  • General Customers: Up to 7.50% on FDs for 24-25 months, 34-35 months, and 60-61 months.
  • Senior Citizens (60-69 years): Up to 8.00% on the same tenures.
  • Senior Citizens Plus (70+ years): Up to 8.05% on the same tenures.

Union Bank of India's Revised FD Rates

Union Bank of India also updated its FD rates, effective August 4, 2026. The bank offers a range of rates from 2.70% to 6.55% across different tenures, catering to various investment horizons.

  • Highest Rate for General Public: 6.55% on the 555-day tenure.
  • Other notable rates include 6.50% for 444 days and 6.25% for 400 days, and 401-443 days.

Indian Bank's Competitive Fixed Deposit Schemes

Indian Bank's revised fixed deposit rates, also effective from August 4, 2026, present attractive options, particularly through its special schemes. General customers can find rates between 2.80% and 6.60%.

  • IND GROW 555-day Deposit: Offers 6.65% for the general public, 7.15% for senior citizens, and 7.40% for super senior citizens.
  • IND Prosper 777-day Deposit: Provides 6.60% for the general public.

Savers comparing these three banks will find DCB Bank offering the highest headline rate for general customers, with significantly higher returns for senior and super senior citizens. Union Bank and Indian Bank also provide competitive options, especially through their specially designed tenure-based schemes.
