Commercial LPG Prices See Significant Cuts
India's commercial 19 kg LPG cylinder prices have been reduced nationwide starting July 1, 2026. Indian Oil announced cuts ranging from ₹173 to ₹183.50, marking the first reduction for these cylinders in 2026. This move offers substantial relief to commercial users, including hotels and restaurants.
In Delhi, a 19 kg LPG cylinder now costs ₹2,930, down from the previous ₹3,113.50. Kolkata also saw a notable decrease, with prices falling to ₹3,081.50 from ₹3,255.50. Other major cities like Mumbai and Chennai also experienced similar reductions, with Mumbai's commercial cylinder now priced at ₹2,885.50 and Chennai's at ₹3,106.
Domestic LPG, CNG, and PNG Rates Remain Stable
While commercial LPG prices have adjusted, the rates for 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinders remain unchanged for July 2026. Similarly, the prices for Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Piped Natural Gas (PNG) have held steady since their last revision in May.

Reasons Behind the Price Revision
The decision to cut 19 kg LPG cylinder prices comes after the government restored commercial LPG supplies to pre-crisis levels. This follows an easing of concerns related to the West Asia conflict, which had previously disrupted global supply chains. The Petroleum and Natural Gas Ministry confirmed that full supplies of domestic LPG, PNG, and CNG are being maintained across the country, with online bookings reaching 98%.
Earlier, restrictions on commercial LPG supplies were implemented to prioritize household consumption amid supply uncertainties. These curbs have now been withdrawn due to improved domestic production and the anticipated arrival of imported LPG cargoes, allowing for a return to normal supply conditions for businesses.
