Rohit Sharma, the visionary founder behind the popular 'Chaiwalaz' chain of cafes, has tragically passed away at the age of 30. Police reported that Sharma allegedly died by suicide at his residence in Dausa, Rajasthan, on Saturday afternoon. Family members discovered him and rushed him to a district hospital, where he was declared dead.
From Nursing Student to Cafe Entrepreneur
Sharma's entrepreneurial journey began remarkably early. At just 17, while still pursuing nursing studies, he launched 'Chaiwalaz' in Jaipur. His first tea café opened at Shipra Path in Jaipur's Mansarovar area, quickly expanding to a second outlet within the city. Over the years, his venture grew significantly, establishing seven 'Chaiwalaz' outlets across various cities.
A Shift Towards Spirituality
According to reports, approximately six months before his death, Rohit Sharma had made the decision to shut down all seven 'Chaiwalaz' outlets. During this period, he reportedly turned his focus towards spirituality, frequently visiting various religious sites.
Community Involvement and Family
Beyond his business endeavors, Sharma was also actively involved in social service activities within Dausa. He is survived by his wife, who works as a teacher at a private school, and their seven-year-old son. His father, Hitendra Mohan Sharma, operates a medical store in Dausa.
Authorities from the Kotwali police station have confirmed that a post-mortem examination was conducted, and Sharma's body has been handed over to his family. The police stated that further investigation into the circumstances of his death is currently underway.
