Berger Paints India Ltd. has reported a robust performance for the second quarter of the fiscal year 2026-27 (Q2 FY27), with net profit seeing a significant rise. The company's consolidated net profit increased by 5.2% year-on-year to Rs 217.1 crore, up from Rs 206.4 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.

Revenue Growth and Operational Highlights

During the same quarter, revenue from operations surged by 13.2% to Rs 3,200.4 crore, compared to Rs 2,827.5 crore in Q2 FY26. This impressive growth was supported by strong contributions from its industrial, construction chemical, and international business segments. Profit before tax (PBT) also saw a healthy increase of 4%, reaching Rs 285 crore from Rs 274.61 crore in the prior year.

Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization (EBITDA), excluding other income, climbed 5.2% to Rs 370.7 crore, up from Rs 352.3 crore in the same period last year. The company continued its strategy of staggered price hikes to mitigate the impact of persistent raw material inflation. Additionally, Berger Paints launched its new corporate campaign, "Rang Bana Rahe," which garnered positive traction across various audiences.

Share Performance and Half-Year Results

Following the announcement of its Q2 FY27 earnings, Berger Paints shares responded positively, closing over 2% higher on Thursday at Rs 510.20, against a previous close of Rs 484.5. The company's market capitalization concurrently rose to Rs 57,822 crore.

For the first half of FY27, Berger Paints reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 622.11 crore, marking a 19.3% increase year-on-year from Rs 521.42 crore in H1 FY26. Total income from operations for the first half also grew by 12.5% to Rs 6,784.12 crore, up from Rs 6,028.25 crore in the prior year's first half. While operating profit demonstrated double-digit growth, the PBDIT margin saw a marginal moderation to 14.4% from 14.6%, indicating some pressure from material costs that will be closely monitored in upcoming quarters.
