Bajaj Finance Q1 Net Profit Jumps 27% to ₹5,986 Cr, NII Hits ₹12,571 Cr

Bajaj Finance reported a 27% rise in net profit to ₹5,985.75 crore for Q1 FY27, with Net Interest Income (NII) climbing 23% to ₹12,571 crore. The NBFC also saw a 24% increase in Assets Under Management, reaching ₹5,46,944 crore.

Bajaj Finance, one of India's largest non-banking financial companies (NBFCs), has announced robust financial results for the first quarter of fiscal year 2027, ending June 2026. The company's net profit surged by 27% year-on-year to ₹5,985.75 crore, up from ₹4,699 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.

Strong Financial Performance Fuels Growth

The NBFC's Net Interest Income (NII) also saw a significant increase, rising 23% year-on-year to ₹12,571 crore, compared to ₹10,228 crore in Q1 FY26. This strong performance contributed to a 28% rise in profit before tax, which reached ₹8,149 crore for the quarter.

During the quarter, Bajaj Finance demonstrated substantial operational expansion, adding 5.10 million new customers. The company's total customer franchise now stands at an impressive 124.43 million. Furthermore, 16.13 million new loans were booked, indicating strong demand for its financial products.

Assets Under Management Show Significant Expansion

Bajaj Finance's Assets Under Management (AUM) witnessed a healthy growth of 24%, reaching ₹5,46,944 crore in Q1 FY27. The company reported an AUM addition of ₹36,969 crore during the quarter, reflecting its expanding loan book and market presence.

Market Reaction and Valuation

Following the announcement of its Q1 earnings, Bajaj Finance stock closed 0.18% higher at ₹1056.05 on the day. The company's market capitalization stood at ₹6.57 lakh crore, solidifying its position as a leading player in the Indian financial sector.
