Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ) has announced robust financial results for the second quarter, with net profit surging by 18% to ₹3,682 crore. The company's revenue also saw a significant increase, rising 24% to cross the ₹11,000 crore mark, reaching ₹11,340 crore for the quarter.

Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortisation (EBITDA) demonstrated strong growth, climbing 23% to ₹6,807 crore compared to ₹5,550 crore in the same period last fiscal year. This solid performance has prompted APSEZ to upgrade its full-year FY27 guidance for revenue, EBITDA, and capital expenditure.

Strong Performance Across Business Segments

Ashwani Gupta, Whole-time Director & CEO of APSEZ, commented on the results, highlighting the company's strategic execution and financial prudence. "APSEZ’s ability to execute at scale with financial prudence enables us to pursue ambitious growth while leveraging balance-sheet strength and compounding cash flows. Against this backdrop, Q2FY27 was another stellar quarter," Gupta stated.

The company's domestic ports remain a core driver of earnings, recording a 13% rise in revenue and maintaining a robust EBITDA margin of 72.5%. International ports are emerging as powerful growth engines, with revenue from this segment soaring by 71% year-on-year. The logistics business also contributed significantly, with revenue increasing by 21%, bolstered by the expansion of its integrated "shore-to-door" network.

Marine revenue experienced a substantial 57% year-on-year climb, attributed to global fleet expansion and its foray into subsea services. This diversified growth across its segments underscores the company's strategic vision.

Financial Strength and Future Outlook

Gupta further elaborated on the company's financial discipline and future investments:

As we accelerate investments toward our Ambition 2031 objectives, our balance sheet remains exceptionally strong. We have deployed Rs 30,346 crore of capex over the past two years, including higher-than-planned investments in H1, while maintaining net debt-to-EBITDA at just 1.8 times underscoring the strength of our business model and capital discipline.

The company's shares were trading marginally higher following the earnings announcement, reflecting investor confidence in its continued growth trajectory and strategic investments. The market capitalization of Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone rose to ₹4.07 lakh crore.
