Abhijeet Dipke, the founder of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), has affirmed his unwavering resolve to continue protests demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, despite recently being diagnosed with typhoid.
In a social media video message, Dipke revealed he has been unwell for several days, with medical tests confirming the typhoid diagnosis. He shared that he is currently undergoing treatment, which includes daily intravenous (IV) drips, but insisted that his health condition would not deter the ongoing agitation.
Fight for Accountability Continues
"As you all know, I have not been feeling well for the last few days. My blood reports have come, and I have been diagnosed with typhoid. My treatment is going on, and I am getting IV drips every morning and evening," Dipke stated in his video. He extended his gratitude to supporters across India for maintaining the peaceful protests.
The CJP's primary demand is the immediate resignation of Minister Pradhan over alleged irregularities in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) examinations. The party is advocating for greater accountability and comprehensive reforms within India's examination system.
No Compromise on Demands
Dipke reiterated the CJP's firm stance, emphasizing that the protests would persist until Dharmendra Pradhan steps down. While acknowledging activist Sonam Wangchuk's decision to conclude his hunger strike, Dipke clarified that the CJP's objectives remain unchanged.
He further stressed that any future discussions with the government must occur at a neutral venue, underscoring the party's unwillingness to compromise on their core demand for Pradhan's resignation.
