Joint Operation Leads to Detentions in Pune
Pune Police, acting in coordination with Military Intelligence (MI), have detained three Bangladeshi nationals who were allegedly residing in the city without proper legal documentation. This operation is part of intensified surveillance by law enforcement and intelligence agencies as Pune prepares for the upcoming festive season.
The joint operation, initiated based on specific intelligence inputs from Military Intelligence, was carried out by the Special Branch (SB) around 3 p.m. on August 27.
Details of the Detainees
The individuals detained have been identified as Sonia Akther, Motiar Gaji, and Sonia Moti Pan. During initial questioning and verification of documents, officials confirmed that the three were allegedly staying in India without valid permits.
Police officials have confirmed that detention orders are being issued against the individuals. They will remain in custody while legal proceedings are completed and deportation formalities are arranged.
