The progress is evident in widespread welfare initiatives, robust infrastructure development, and a strengthened global presence, reflecting a renewed sense of national confidence.

National Progress Under Modi's Leadership

Over the past decade, India has witnessed substantial growth and implemented numerous welfare schemes impacting millions. Key achievements include the construction of four crore permanent homes under the PM Awas Yojana, providing free monthly food grains to 81 crore people, and offering free medical treatment to 60 crore individuals via Ayushman Bharat. Additionally, collateral-free Mudra loans totaling Rs 40 lakh crore have empowered countless small businesses.

Infrastructure development has seen remarkable expansion. Access to tap water has quadrupled, now reaching 16 crore households compared to 3.2 crore previously. Metro rail connectivity has extended from five cities to 26, with the network growing from 248 km to 1,155 km. India now leads global digital transactions, accounting for 56% of the world's volume, and has significantly boosted its defence production and exports, moving away from past dependencies.

Beyond economic and infrastructural gains, the Modi era has emphasized women's empowerment, granting permanent commission to women in the armed forces. The nation has also demonstrated a firm stance against terrorism, both domestic and cross-border, asserting its commitment to peace while ensuring national security.

Uttarakhand: A Model of Transformation

The national vision of a developed India is vividly reflected in states like Uttarakhand, often referred to as 'Devbhoomi'. Under Prime Minister Modi's tenure, the state has seen an unprecedented influx of development projects, totaling over Rs 2 lakh crore with central government support. This has led to rapid advancements in connectivity, tourism, healthcare, and industrial growth.

Enhanced Connectivity

  • Roads: Major projects include the Rs 11,700 crore Char Dham All Weather Road and the Rs 13,000 crore Delhi-Dehradun Expressway, drastically reducing travel times. Other key routes like Sitarganj-Tanakpur and Paonta Sahib-Dehradun are also underway.
  • Rail: The Rishikesh-Karnaprayag Rail Project is nearing completion, and the Rs 48,000 crore Tanakpur-Bageshwar railway line has been approved. Eleven railway stations are being modernized under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.
  • Air: Jolly Grant, Pantnagar, and Pithoragarh airports have expanded. The UDAN scheme is developing 18 heliports, with 12 already operational, connecting remote areas.
  • Ropeways: The Parvatmala Project is expanding the ropeway network, including routes from Gaurikund to Kedarnath and Govindghat to Hemkund Sahib, enhancing pilgrimage and tourism.

Spiritual and Social Development

Prime Minister Modi's reverence for Uttarakhand's spiritual heritage is evident in the restoration and redevelopment of ancient temples, including Kedarnath and Badrinath Dhams, and the Manaskhand Temple Circuit Mission. In healthcare, the AIIMS Satellite Centre at Kichha is under construction, and India's first heli-ambulance service has launched at AIIMS Rishikesh. Water resource projects like Jamrani, Song, and Lakhwar are set to provide long-term benefits for irrigation, drinking water, and energy.

Progressive Governance

Uttarakhand has also advanced Prime Minister Modi's vision of good governance by implementing the Uniform Civil Code, anti-cheating legislation, and anti-conversion laws. Reforms in land laws and initiatives for investment promotion, women's empowerment, and youth employment further solidify Uttarakhand's emergence as a model of innovation and development.

The 12 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership signify a resurgence of India's self-confidence, bringing hope and opportunities to millions.
