The Javelin is renowned globally as one of the most combat-proven shoulder-fired anti-tank missile systems. A prior approval for a possible sale, estimated at $45.7 million, was granted in November 2025, covering 100 Javelin rounds, command launch units, training, and logistical support.

Fire-and-Forget Guidance
- Unlike conventional wire-guided missiles that require the operator to maintain target tracking, the Javelin's seeker locks onto the target pre-launch.

Top-Attack Profile
- Modern tanks are typically most heavily armored at their front. The Javelin exploits a common vulnerability by attacking from above.
