A woman biker, Sia, was severely injured after allegedly drunk men in a white sedan chased and rammed her motorcycle on Gurugram's Golf Course Road. The hit-and-run was captured on video, prompting a police investigation and public outcry.

A woman biker in Gurugram, identified as Sia, sustained severe injuries over the weekend after allegedly drunk men in a white sedan chased and intentionally rammed her motorcycle on Golf Course Road. The harrowing hit-and-run incident, which threw Sia onto the asphalt, was captured on her action camera and has since gone viral, prompting widespread public outrage and a police investigation.

Incident Details and Pursuit

Sia was riding her Aprilia RS 457 with members of her biking group when the incident occurred on Sunday. According to her account, the occupants of a white sedan began aggressively pursuing her from the start of her ride. When she reportedly asked the driver to maintain a safe distance, she was told to stop her motorcycle. Sia alleged that the men in the car appeared to be intoxicated.

Despite Sia's attempts to stay ahead and a fellow rider's efforts to shield her by positioning his bike between her and the sedan, the car continued its aggressive pursuit. The sedan then made a sharp maneuver, striking Sia's motorcycle from the side. The impact caused her to be thrown from her bike, which skidded along the road, before the car sped away from the scene.

Injuries and Police Action

Following the collision, Sia was admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment of her severe injuries. The video footage, including additional clips from her fellow rider's helmet camera, shows her companion chasing the sedan and confronting the driver at a traffic signal. However, the driver denied responsibility and fled.

Gurugram Traffic Police have initiated an investigation based on the compelling video evidence. Sia, who manages the Instagram page 'rebelwheels_sia_', shared the footage online, expressing her profound concern for safety on Gurugram's roads. She urged authorities to take swift action against drivers who endanger others and flee accident scenes, providing the vehicle's registration number and the RC owner's name in her video.

Public Outcry and Road Safety Concerns

The viral video has garnered significant attention across social media platforms. Users have tagged various police departments, including Delhi Police, Gurugram Police, Gurugram Traffic Police, and Haryana Police, demanding the registration of a First Information Report (FIR) and stringent action against the culprits. The incident has reignited concerns among the public regarding road safety and instances of rash driving within the city.
