BJP President Nitin Nabin Names New National Team: Goyal Treasurer, Irani General Secretary

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President Nitin Nabin officially announced his new national team on Monday, August 17, 2026, marking a significant organizational restructuring for the party. The appointments see prominent leaders take on crucial responsibilities within the BJP's hierarchy.

Key Appointments Announced

Among the most notable changes, senior leader Piyush Goyal has been designated as the party's National Treasurer. Simultaneously, Smriti Irani has been appointed as a National General Secretary, a key position in the party's central administration.

Nabin, who assumed the presidency on January 20, 2026, formally presented his team, which includes a mix of experienced figures and new faces across various posts. B.L. Santosh will continue in his role as National General Secretary (Organisation), with Shivprakash and Saudan Singh named National Joint General Secretaries (Organisation).

National Vice Presidents

The party has appointed 13 national vice presidents, reflecting a broad representation of its leadership. These include:

Other General Secretaries and Secretaries

The list of National General Secretaries also features Vinod Tawde, Sunil Bansal, Biplab Kumar Deb, Satish Poonia, Gajendra Patel, Harish Dwivedi, and Sanjay Bhatia. Arun Singh has been named National General Secretary and Office In-charge.

Sixteen National Secretaries were also appointed, including Kavita Patidar, K. Surendran, Bhola Singh, Pradip Varma, Jagdish Ishwarbhai Patel, Sandeep Pathak, Phangnon Konyak, Sangeeta Yadav, Anil Antony, M. Venkateshan, Manoj Tigga, Siddharth Shambhu, Swadesh Singh, Mriganka Deo Barman, Rohan Gupta, and Jai Prakash. Rajesh Mangal will serve as the National Joint Treasurer.

Organizational and Media Teams

Further appointments include Tarun Chugh as the Central Office In-charge and Mahendra Pandey as the Central Office Secretary. Dr. Sambit Patra will coordinate the North-East region, assisted by Rajiv Babbar.

Vishnu Datt Sharma will lead all party cells, supported by Rituraj Sinha and Vishnu Vardhan Reddy as joint coordinators. The presidents for the BJP's various 'morchas' (fronts) were also announced, covering youth, women, OBC, farmers, SC, ST, and minority groups.

For media relations, Anil Baluni has been appointed Media Convenor, with Ashish Usha Agrawal, Pradeep Bhandari, and Siddharth Yadav as Co-Convenors. Deepak Mhaskey will lead the Social Media team, joined by Priti Gandhi, Shivanand Dwivedi, Alok Bhatt, and Arun Yadav as Co-Convenors.
