The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced a significant organizational change, appointing Deepak Mhaskey as its new Social Media Convenor. Mhaskey takes over the crucial role from Amit Malviya, who has headed the party's IT and social media operations since 2015.

Malviya Congratulates Successor

In his first public reaction following the announcement on Monday, Amit Malviya congratulated Deepak Mhaskey and the newly appointed co-convenors. Malviya stated that Mhaskey would be "taking over from me as the head of the BJP's Social Media Department."

The BJP's new social media team also includes Priti Gandhi, Shivanand Dwivedi, Alok Bhatt, and Arun Yadav, who have been named Co-Convenors. Malviya extended his best wishes to all new office bearers, highlighting that their appointments come at a "crucial juncture" as the party aims to expand its message and organization nationwide.

Confidence in the New Team

Malviya, who has worked closely with many members of the new team over the past decade, expressed strong confidence in their capabilities. He believes the new leadership will effectively advance the BJP's digital communication strategy and "continue to shape India’s public discourse with conviction, creativity and clarity."

“I have had the privilege of working closely with each of them over the last decade,” Malviya stated, underscoring his familiarity with their work.

Beyond the new leadership, Malviya also extended a "BIG THANK YOU" to the BJP’s extensive social media support base. He acknowledged the community's unwavering commitment, energy, and ideas, crediting them with playing a decisive role in reshaping India's public discourse. Malviya urged these supporters to continue their invaluable contribution to the party and its new digital communication team.

Reflecting on his eleven-year tenure, Malviya noted the special interactions he had with many supporters and concluded by emphasizing India's trajectory towards greater heights under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP, with supporters' contributions being integral to this journey.
