A 6-year-old LKG student in Visakhapatnam died after collapsing in his classroom, allegedly following a slap from his teacher over incomplete homework. Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage as part of a police investigation into the tragic incident.

A shocking incident in Visakhapatnam (Vizag) has led to the death of a six-year-old LKG student who collapsed in his classroom on Thursday. The boy reportedly died after being slapped by his teacher, allegedly for not completing his homework. The incident, captured on CCTV, has prompted a police investigation.

CCTV Footage Shows Incident Unfolding

Authorities are currently examining CCTV footage from the school, which reportedly shows the teacher scolding the young child. The boy can be seen crying and gesturing before the teacher adjusts his clothes and then slaps him. Moments after the alleged assault, the child collapsed, falling into the teacher's lap.

The footage indicates that the teacher attempted to lift the unresponsive child. He was subsequently rushed to a hospital but was declared dead upon arrival. The exact cause of death is yet to be determined, pending a post-mortem report.

Family Alleges Fright and Demands Action

The child's father stated that he was not informed by the school directly, learning of the tragedy from local workers. He has vehemently denied that his son was unwell before leaving for school that morning. The family believes the child became frightened after being slapped, began crying and coughing, and then collapsed.

They have strongly demanded strict legal action against both the teacher involved and the school management for their alleged negligence and role in the child's death.

Police Investigation Underway

Visakhapatnam police have registered a case and initiated a probe under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita. This section outlines inquiry procedures for deaths occurring under unnatural or suspicious circumstances. Investigators are actively questioning individuals present at the school during the incident and meticulously reviewing the CCTV footage alongside other collected evidence.

Andhra Pradesh Minister for Human Resources Development, Nara Lokesh, offered his condolences, describing the child's death as "heartbreaking." He assured the grieving parents that the government is taking legal action against those responsible and the school management, pledging full support to the family during this difficult time.
