Vivo X500 Pro Max Leaked: Massive Camera Island, Rotating Ring, 200MP Telephoto

· · 2 min read

Leaked images and video suggest the upcoming Vivo X500 Pro Max will feature an unusually large camera module with a distinctive rotating ring. The flagship phone is expected to boast a 200MP telephoto lens and advanced imaging sensors.

Vivo's next flagship smartphone, the X500 Pro Max, is generating significant buzz as early leaks reveal a bold and expansive camera design. Following the X300 Ultra's large camera setup, its successor appears set to push design boundaries further, emphasizing advanced mobile photography.

Reported images and a hands-on video, circulating on platforms like X and TikTok, offer a preliminary look at the device. While unconfirmed, these leaks provide crucial clues about the handset's physical appearance and its anticipated imaging hardware, suggesting a strong focus on photography enthusiasts.

A Dominant Camera Island with Unique Features

One striking detail from the leaks is the Vivo X500 Pro Max's camera island, which reportedly spans nearly the entire width of the phone's rear. This massive module is depicted alongside a distinctive rotating ring that encircles the camera array.

Although it's not yet clear if this ring protrudes or if the visual effect is due to the camera angle, numbers visible along its circumference hint at potential manual camera controls, possibly ISO markings, for more granular photographic adjustments.

Advanced Triple Camera System Specifications

The X500 Pro Max is anticipated to house a formidable triple-camera setup. This includes two 50MP sensors alongside a groundbreaking 200MP telephoto camera. Specifically, the main camera is expected to feature a 50MP 1/1.28-inch LOFIC sensor, enhanced with 3-degree optical image stabilization for sharper shots.

For ultra-wide photography, the device is rumored to incorporate a 50MP Sony IMX8-series sensor. The powerful 200MP telephoto lens will reportedly utilize Samsung's 1/1.4-inch HP0 sensor, a component previously seen in the X300 Ultra's telephoto offering. Additionally, Vivo is reportedly experimenting with a multispectral sensor to further refine color accuracy and white balance.

Expected Launch and Series Details

The Vivo X500 series, including the standard X500, X500 Pro, and the top-tier X500 Pro Max, is projected to launch in September. These new models are poised to compete in the premium smartphone market, with the Pro Max variant specifically targeting users prioritizing cutting-edge camera technology.
