· · 2 min read

Oppo has increased prices for its K14, K14x, and A6s smartphone models in India by up to Rs 4,000, effective July 20. The revised pricing, now live on Flipkart, impacts all storage variants due to suspected component shortages.

Oppo has quietly implemented a significant price increase across several of its popular affordable smartphone lines in India. Effective July 20, the Oppo K14, K14x, and A6s models will see their prices rise by as much as Rs 4,000, with new pricing already reflecting on online retailers like Flipkart.

Oppo K14 Series Sees Major Hikes

The Oppo K14, a key offering in the brand's K-series, has experienced the most substantial adjustments. The base 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, previously priced at Rs 19,999, now costs Rs 21,999. The 6GB + 256GB configuration has gone from Rs 21,999 to Rs 24,999.

The premium 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant of the Oppo K14 now carries a price tag of Rs 27,999, a notable Rs 4,000 increase from its former Rs 23,999 price point.

Oppo K14x and A6s Also Affected

The more budget-friendly Oppo K14x has also seen its prices climb. The 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant is now Rs 16,999, up from Rs 15,999. Its 128GB storage counterpart has also received a Rs 1,000 hike. The 6GB + 128GB option is now available for Rs 20,999, an increase from its previous Rs 19,999.

Meanwhile, the Oppo A6s 5G model has not been spared, with its prices rising by up to Rs 2,000. The 4GB + 128GB variant now costs Rs 21,999 (previously Rs 20,999), and the 6GB + 128GB configuration is now priced at Rs 24,999 (up from Rs 22,999).

Reasons Behind the Price Adjustments

While Oppo has not yet issued an official statement detailing the reasons for these price hikes, industry observers widely attribute the changes to ongoing global memory chip shortages and rising component costs. These factors have put pressure on smartphone manufacturers worldwide, leading to adjustments in retail pricing.

Consumers looking to purchase these Oppo models should check the updated pricing on retail platforms, as the changes are already live.
