· · 3 min read

Oppo has officially confirmed its Find X10 Pro Max will launch in India, powered by MediaTek's new Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset. This 2nm processor promises significant advancements in AI, gaming, and computational photography for the upcoming flagship device.

Oppo India has announced that its highly anticipated Find X10 Pro Max smartphone will debut in India featuring MediaTek's cutting-edge Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset. The confirmation came during MediaTek Tech Day in Delhi on October 6, 2026, where both companies highlighted the device's focus on top-tier performance and on-device artificial intelligence.

The Find X10 Pro Max is set to be among the first global smartphones to integrate the new Dimensity 9600 Pro, a chip built on an advanced 2nm process. This architecture is designed to deliver both substantial performance upgrades and improved power efficiency, positioning the device as a major flagship offering in the Indian market, with availability expected in the coming weeks.

Next-Generation Performance and AI Capabilities

The MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro is engineered for superior processing power, featuring a unique 2+3+3 All Big Core CPU design. This configuration includes two C2-Ultra cores clocked at up to 4.55GHz, three C2-Pro cores at 4.35GHz, and an additional three C2-Pro cores at 3.1GHz. MediaTek claims this setup results in a 17% boost in single-core performance and a 15% increase in multi-core performance, alongside a remarkable 61% reduction in multi-core power consumption compared to its predecessor.

For artificial intelligence, the chipset incorporates a dual-NPU architecture and MediaTek’s proprietary Agentic AI Engine. It supports AI models with up to 30 billion parameters, while its second-generation Super-Efficient NPU is reported to decrease always-on AI power consumption by 40%, enhancing the device's intelligent features without draining the battery.

Advanced Gaming and Imaging

Gamers can expect a significant upgrade with the G2-Ultra NX GPU powering the Find X10 Pro Max. MediaTek touts a 27% higher peak performance, 24% lower power consumption, and 18% faster ray tracing capabilities. The chipset is capable of supporting gaming at an impressive 185 frames per second, promising an exceptionally fluid and immersive gaming experience.

The smartphone's imaging capabilities are also enhanced by the Imagiq 1290 ISP, supporting advanced features such as 60fps motion capture, 4K240 ultra-slow-motion video, 4K60 AI True Color Tone, 4K120 cinematic log recording, and 17EV imaging. These features provide users with versatile tools for capturing high-quality photos and videos.

Introducing the Laminar Flow Engine

In a collaborative effort, Oppo and MediaTek have developed the innovative Laminar Flow Engine, which will make its debut with the Find X10 Series. This technology redefines the rendering architecture and optimizes system scheduling to achieve a delicate balance between responsiveness and power consumption. It is specifically designed to accelerate app launch times and ensure seamless content loading during demanding tasks, such as rapid photo browsing, thereby improving the overall user experience.
