iPhone 18 Pro Series Expected to Launch Early September 2026 with Price Hike

· · 2 min read

Apple's iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max are anticipated to launch in early September 2026, possibly on the 8th or 9th. Reports also suggest a significant price increase for these models, potentially up to $200.

iPhone 18 Pro Launch Date Expectations

Anticipation is building for the next generation of Apple's flagship smartphones, with reports indicating an earlier-than-usual launch for the iPhone 18 Pro series. According to insights from Bloomberg, the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max models are projected to debut in early September 2026, potentially just after the US Labour Day holiday.

Early September Debut

While an official announcement from Apple is still years away, industry observers suggest a launch date around September 8 or September 9, 2026. This timing would place the release shortly after Labour Day, which falls on September 7 that year. This schedule marks a slight acceleration compared to the iPhone 17 series, which reportedly launched on September 9, 2025.

Anticipated Price Increases for iPhone 18 Pro

Beyond the launch timeline, consumers should also prepare for potential price adjustments for the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro models. Apple is reportedly facing increasing costs for key components, which may necessitate higher retail prices for its premium smartphones.

Factors Driving Higher Costs

Sources indicate that rising RAM prices and ongoing chip shortages are contributing to increased manufacturing expenses for Apple. CEO Tim Cook has previously acknowledged that price hikes might become unavoidable, citing these pressures which have already affected pricing for other Apple products like MacBooks, iPads, HomePods, and Apple TVs across various regions.

Projected Pricing Details

An IDC report suggests that the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max could see a price increase of approximately $200 compared to their iPhone 17 Pro predecessors. This would place the iPhone 18 Pro in a price bracket of $1,249 to $1,299. The larger iPhone 18 Pro Max might range from $1,349 to $1,399. Furthermore, discussions around Apple's first foldable iPhone suggest a premium entry point, potentially starting between $2,500 and $3,000.
