iPhone 18 Pro Colors Leak: Dark Cherry and Black Expected, Silver Dropped

· · 2 min read

Apple's upcoming iPhone 18 Pro models are rumored to introduce a refreshed color palette, including a new Dark Cherry shade and the return of Black. The company may also discontinue the Silver variant for its flagship phones.

Apple Revamps iPhone 18 Pro Color Palette

Apple is reportedly preparing a significant refresh for its flagship iPhone 18 Pro color lineup, with familiar finishes potentially making way for darker shades and a striking new option this year. Leaks suggest a move away from some current colors, including the potential discontinuation of the popular silver.

New Shades and a Classic Return

According to Weibo leaker Fixed Focus Digital, cited by MacRumors, the iPhone 18 Pro has entered full mass production and is expected to be available in Dark Cherry, Sky Blue, and Black. This information indicates a notable shift, as a Silver variant is unlikely to be part of the final lineup, with no evidence of such a model in production in China.

The Dark Cherry Signature Color

The standout color, Dark Cherry, has been described by various sources. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman previously referred to it as deep red, while Macworld called it Dark Cherry. Another leaker, Instant Digital, characterized the shade as a combination of burgundy, coffee, and deep purple, suggesting a rich and complex finish.

If these reports hold true, Apple would replace all three colors offered with the iPhone 17 Pro, rather than carrying Silver forward as some earlier speculation suggested. The September launch event is expected to confirm these details alongside other major hardware announcements.

Potential Lineup Changes

Earlier dummy models shared by Sonny Dickson had shown Dark Cherry, Light Blue, Black, and Silver. However, the latest intel from mass production points towards Dark Cherry, Sky Blue, and Black as the primary options, with Dark Grey remaining a possibility. The return of a true black shade would mark a significant change from recent Pro models.
