IndiGo Ventures' Strategic Investment in AI
IndiGo Ventures, the corporate venture capital arm of IndiGo, has announced a significant investment in Sarvam, an India-based full-stack sovereign artificial intelligence (AI) company. This strategic move is part of Sarvam's Series B funding round, solidifying an existing relationship between the two entities.
The collaboration is designed to integrate advanced AI technologies across the airline's operations. The primary goals include enhancing customer experience, empowering IndiGo employees with better tools, and streamlining complex operational workflows.
Revolutionizing Aviation with Full-Stack AI
The partnership leverages IndiGo's extensive aviation expertise, operational scale, and real-world use cases, combining them with Sarvam's comprehensive AI capabilities. Sarvam specializes in AI models, voice systems, and agentic systems, aiming to create a modern, technology-enabled, and future-ready airline infrastructure.
"Artificial Intelligence is fast becoming a foundational capability for the aviation industry, reshaping customer experience, workforce productivity and operational decision-making. Our partnership with Sarvam gives IndiGo access to cutting-edge AI capabilities, built in India, and tailored to the needs of the market," stated Neetan Chopra, Chief Digital and Information Officer, IndiGo.
Sarvam's AI Prowess and Future Vision
Sarvam develops across training and inference infrastructure, frontier models, and enterprise AI products. Its technology encompasses text, speech, vision, and document processing, engineered for secure deployment within complex, high-volume environments typical of the aviation sector.
Pratyush Kumar, Co-founder of Sarvam, commented, "Aviation is a powerful setting for enterprise AI because it combines millions of customer interactions with complex, time-sensitive operations. IndiGo brings the domain depth and scale needed to identify where AI can create real value. Together, we can develop systems that are useful in production and build a stronger template for enterprise AI in India."
IndiGo Ventures' Broader Innovation Mandate

The fund is committed to fostering innovation not only through capital but also by leveraging IndiGo’s deep technical expertise and extensive industry network, further underscoring its dedication to advancing the aviation sector through technology.
