HCLTech, a prominent global IT services company, has announced a significant Global Premier Partnership with Anthropic, a leading AI safety and research company. This collaboration aims to accelerate the adoption and large-scale deployment of Agentic AI solutions across enterprise clients worldwide.
Scaling Agentic AI for Enterprises
Under this strategic partnership, HCLTech will develop a suite of industry-specific solutions and service offerings. These will leverage Anthropic's advanced Claude AI models and specialized tools such as Cowork and Claude Code. The initiative responds to a growing industry need to transition from experimental AI projects to robust, full-scale operational deployments.
C Vijayakumar, CEO and Managing Director of HCLTech, highlighted the company's unique position. Dedicated Unit and Product Integration
To support this partnership, HCLTech plans to establish a dedicated Anthropic Business Unit and a Centre of Excellence (CoE). This CoE will focus on building innovative Agentic AI solutions and will provide secure sandbox environments for enterprise deployments of Claude, supported by forward-deployed engineers (FDEs).
HCLSoftware, operating as an Anthropic ISV partner, will integrate Claude AI capabilities into select enterprise products. This includes embedding advanced models into key offerings across various domains like cybersecurity (HCL BigFix, HCL AppScan), automation, business process applications, and application development. Furthermore, Claude and Claude Code will be integrated into AIForce, HCLTech's agentic software engineering platform, enhancing IT support, code remediation, and digital employee services while ensuring strict policy guardrails and human oversight.
The partnership also encompasses extensive workforce training to build the necessary organizational capabilities for safely running Agentic AI at scale.

Daniela Amodei, Co-founder and President of Anthropic, emphasized the importance of trust in AI adoption. "AI can only be as useful as it is trustworthy," she remarked, adding that Claude is built to instill confidence in companies utilizing it for their most sensitive and valuable work.
