AgiBot, a Chinese robotics firm, has announced a significant achievement in industrial automation, completing what it claims is the world's first livestream demonstration of humanoid robots inspecting an active tablet production line. The event saw eight humanoid robots work continuously for over 64 hours at Longcheer Technology's factory in Nanchang.
A New Era in Manufacturing Efficiency
During the intense demonstration, these humanoid robots successfully produced and inspected 17,625 tablets, achieving an impressive 99.99% task success rate. The six-day livestream was specifically designed to illustrate the capabilities of humanoid robots in dynamic, real-world manufacturing environments, moving beyond controlled laboratory settings.
The robots executed 64,828 production-line tasks across various manufacturing workflows, collaborating seamlessly alongside human employees. They handled critical quality inspection duties, adapting to fluctuating factory conditions and navigating around materials and co-workers without disrupting normal operations. This exercise, according to AgiBot, underscores the increasing maturity of AI-powered humanoid robots for diverse industrial applications.
The livestream focused on demonstrating long-duration operation, multi-robot coordination, and effective human-robot collaboration, providing a transparent view of their performance in high-volume manufacturing. This differs from previous demonstrations, which typically occurred under more controlled circumstances, highlighting the robots' readiness for active production schedules.

AgiBot, founded in 2023 and headquartered in Shanghai, specializes in developing humanoid robots for both industrial and service sectors.
