Actor Yash's intricate Ravana costume for 'Ramayana: Part One' was revealed at CinemaCon 2026. He confirmed that he will not share any scenes with Ranbir Kapoor's Lord Rama in the highly anticipated first installment.

New details emerged from CinemaCon 2026, offering fans an exclusive first look at the ambitious upcoming film, 'Ramayana: Part One'. Among the revelations, the striking costume for Yash's portrayal of Ravana garnered significant attention, showcased on a mannequin at the event.

Yash's Ravana Attire Detailed

The display featured an elaborate black and gold ensemble, designed as battle armor. This intricate costume included a grand crown, a gold breastplate, pronounced shoulder pads, arm bands, cuffs, and a detailed dhoti, presenting a formidable appearance for the antagonist. Costumes for Ranbir Kapoor's Lord Rama and Sai Pallavi's Sita were also exhibited. Kapoor's attire included a blue dhoti, a maroon and gold shawl, a large gold crown, and elaborate jewelry. Sai Pallavi's Sita was depicted in a simpler red saree complemented by a necklace.

Yash Confirms Separate Storylines for Part One

In an interview with Fandango, Yash, who plays Ravana, made a surprising clarification regarding his on-screen dynamic with co-star Ranbir Kapoor. He stated, "Interestingly we both have never come together on screen in this film. As you all know, it's a two-part film, so in the first part, as Ravana, I have my own kingdom and Rama has his own kingdom."

Despite not sharing screen time in the initial installment, Yash expressed high regard for Kapoor, calling him a "fabulous actor." He emphasized the mutual respect and aligned vision among the cast and crew, all focused on delivering a phenomenal cinematic experience for 'Ramayana'.

Release Schedule

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, 'Ramayana' is planned as a two-part epic. 'Ramayana: Part One' is slated for release during Diwali 2026, with 'Part Two' scheduled to follow in Diwali 2027.
