Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal has opened up about the transformative experience of fatherhood, sharing heartfelt sentiments about his wife Katrina Kaif and their son, Vihaan. In a recent conversation, Kaushal spoke candidly about the profound emotional changes since becoming a parent, highlighting moments that he wishes he could freeze in time.
Kaushal expressed immense joy in simply observing Katrina's happiness with their son, Vihaan. He described these quiet family moments as incredibly meaningful, evoking a desire to pause time and live in them indefinitely. "To just see your wife’s happiness in that moment and your child giggling, and you in that moment… You just feel that if you could pause this, you could just live this more… It’s just amazing," Kaushal shared.
A Magical Transformation
The actor underscored how fatherhood has instilled a deeper sense of responsibility and sensitivity within him. "I think it makes you incredibly sensitive as a human being. Also, at the same time, it makes you incredibly responsible as a human being, that now you have to practice what you preach," he explained.
Kaushal described fatherhood as an unparalleled "magical experience," admitting that words often fall short in conveying the depth of his feelings. He noted that the changes are not easily quantifiable but are deeply felt, enriching his life in ways he hadn't anticipated.
Cherishing Little Milestones
He further elaborated on the immense satisfaction derived from witnessing Vihaan's daily milestones, from his first cry to his developing expressions and gestures. These seemingly ordinary moments have provided Kaushal with an unexpected sense of completeness and contentment.
"Every day, every little moment when your child giggles, their first cry and their first new expression and their first new gesture… It’s just amazing to see that, experience that. They say that humans never feel satisfied but I feel that in the last 10 months, I have lived so many moments where I have felt that this is it, this is complete, I don’t want anything more, and I have felt that."
Leading by Example
Becoming a father has also prompted Kaushal to become more conscious of his own actions and behavior. Recognizing that children learn primarily by observing their parents, he emphasized the importance of setting a positive example. "Your child’s first learning is going to be subconsciously what he sees at home... You have to be the way so that your child can learn something from you. That has been my biggest learning," he reflected.
