Actress Sonali Raut recently revealed that Ranveer Singh was notably shy during their initial bold photoshoot together. She was asked to help him feel comfortable as he was new to the industry at the time.

Bollywood actress Sonali Raut has shared a surprising anecdote about superstar Ranveer Singh, revealing his unexpected shyness during their very first photoshoot together. Contrary to his current energetic and confident public persona, Raut recalls a much softer and nervous side of Singh when he was a newcomer to the industry.

Ranveer Singh's Early Days: A Shy Newcomer

During a recent interview with Filmi Beat, Sonali Raut recounted the experience of a bold bikini photoshoot she did with Ranveer Singh early in his career. Raut, who was already experienced with such glamorous shoots, was specifically asked by the crew to help make Singh comfortable on set, as he was visibly nervous.

"Ranveer, at that time, was very sweet, very friendly and very nice. He was not like (imitates him) ‘Yeah’, full of energy, no. Actually, he was very shy because again, it was a bikini shoot," Raut stated, highlighting the stark contrast to his present-day image.

She remembered Singh being particularly conscious, telling her it was his first time doing such a glamorous shoot with a woman in a bikini. To cope with his nervousness, he was observed chewing gum and wearing perfume. The photographer even advised Raut, "Sonali, don’t make him conscious because you are okay, but he’s a little nervous. Please make him comfortable."

Raut further recalled Singh expressing his discomfort, saying, "You know, Sonali, it’s my first shoot. You know, I’m wearing clothes." To which she humorously replied, "Yeah, you are wearing clothes, what are you nervous about?"

From Shy Beginnings to Box Office Stardom

This glimpse into Ranveer Singh’s initial days offers a fascinating perspective on the journey of an actor who has since become one of Bollywood's biggest names. His transformation from a cautious newcomer to the powerhouse performer known today is remarkable.

Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh continues to dominate the box office with his recent films. His movies ‘Dhurandhar’ and ‘Dhurandhar 2’ have achieved monumental success, reportedly crossing a combined earning of over Rs 3000 crore. This milestone marks an unprecedented achievement in Indian cinema, solidifying Singh's position as a bankable star. ‘Dhurandhar 2’, produced by Jio Studios and B62 Studios, has enjoyed a successful theatrical run.
