Nitesh Tiwari's highly anticipated epic, "Ramayana: Part 1," featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Yash in pivotal roles, has generated significant buzz ahead of its theatrical debut. With two weeks remaining until its November 5 release, the film has already recorded robust advance ticket sales, signaling a strong opening.

Domestic Box Office Momentum

As of Thursday morning, advance bookings for "Ramayana: Part 1" in India have surpassed ₹7 crore gross. Data from trade tracker Sacnilk indicates that over 1.25 lakh tickets have been sold across 3,707 shows. This impressive figure reflects a 49 percent jump in sales since October 21, with an additional 215 shows added to meet demand.

The film's advance booking window commenced on Dussehra, October 20, allowing audiences ample time to secure their tickets. Bookings have been reported from 104 cities across the country, highlighting widespread anticipation for the epic. All current bookings are specifically for the opening day, Thursday, November 5, which accounts for the entirety of the film's advance booking total so far.

Strong International Pre-Sales

The excitement for "Ramayana: Part 1" extends beyond India's borders. Overseas advance ticket sales have crossed $1.3 million, approximately ₹12.3 crore, across four international markets: the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia. Sony Pictures International is managing the international rollout, and with more markets yet to open advance bookings, these figures are expected to climb further.

While trade figures remain provisional, industry projections from Sacnilk estimate a potential Hindi net opening of ₹80 crore, including paid previews, and an overall India net of over ₹110 crore across all languages. The film, which also stars Sai Pallavi, is slated for release in Hindi, Kannada, and Telugu.
