Welspun Tubular LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Welspun Corp Limited based in the USA, has clinched its most significant order to date. The contract, valued at $412.5 million (approximately Rs 4,000 crore), is for the supply of High-Frequency Induction Welded (HFIW) pipes.
The pipes for this landmark Welspun Corp order will be manufactured at the company's recently upgraded HFIW mill located in Little Rock, USA. This substantial order is slated for execution during the financial years 2028 and 2029.
Global Order Book Reaches Historic High
With the addition of this new contract, Welspun Corp's global order book has surged to an unprecedented $4.7 billion (equivalent to Rs 45,000 crore), marking the highest in the company's history. This achievement underscores the company's robust scale, quality, and execution capabilities, further reinforcing its long-term strategy of expanding global manufacturing capacity and strengthening relationships with key international clients.
The company's shares have garnered significant attention, reflecting investor confidence following this major win. Notably, Welspun Corp shares have seen a remarkable increase of 223 percent over the past six months.
Previous International Engagements
Earlier this month, Welspun Corp's associate company, East Pipes Integrated Company for Industry (EPIC), a listed entity in Saudi Arabia, also announced a significant contract. EPIC secured a deal with Saudi Aramco for the manufacturing and supply of steel pipes, valued at over 771 million SAR (approximately Rs 2,000 crore), including value-added tax.
That particular contract has a duration of six months, with its financial impact expected to be reflected between Q4 FY27 and Q1 FY28. EPIC is recognized as Saudi Arabia's leading manufacturer of Helical Submerged Arc Welded (HSAW) pipes and plays a crucial role in supporting the Kingdom's strategic objectives under Vision 2030.
