Regal Jewellers has announced its strategic expansion into the lucrative Tamil Nadu market, appointing acclaimed actors Vijay Sethupathi and Simran as its new brand ambassadors. This move coincides with the upcoming grand opening of the company's inaugural showroom in Chennai's T. Nagar on July 31, signaling a significant step in its regional growth strategy.
New Campaign Highlights Transparency
Accompanying its market entry, Regal Jewellers has launched a new campaign for Tamil Nadu titled, "Indha Maatram... Adhu Nalladhu Dhaane?" (This Change... Isn't It Good?). The campaign prominently features both Sethupathi and Simran, emphasizing the brand's unique manufacturer-direct retail model. This approach aims to provide customers with HUID 916 hallmarked jewellery at wholesale prices, promoting greater transparency in the purchasing process.
"Regal Jewellers is coming to Tamil Nadu to change customers' perception of purchasing gold jewellery. Buying directly from a manufacturer and wholesaler is a meaningful change for customers, and that belief is reflected in our campaign," said Vibin Shivdas, Managing Director and CEO of Regal Jewellers. He added that Chennai and Puducherry are merely the initial steps in the brand's ambitious long-term growth plans for the region.
Ambassadors Emphasize Trust and Value
Vijay Sethupathi highlighted the critical role of trust in jewellery acquisition. "Jewellery is deeply connected to our traditions and emotions, and trust plays the biggest role. Regal Jewellers' commitment to transparency and its manufacturer-direct approach brings genuine value to customers," he stated.
Simran also expressed her enthusiasm for the partnership, asserting that customers deserve confidence in every purchase. She lauded the brand's dedication to exceptional craftsmanship, clear pricing, and overall customer value.
Future Expansion and Job Creation
As part of its aggressive expansion, Regal Jewellers plans to establish approximately ten new showrooms across Tamil Nadu in the coming years. This growth is projected to create over 2,000 employment opportunities across various sectors including retail, customer service, logistics, and support functions, strengthening its presence in one of India's most significant jewellery markets.
