Nearly one million people worldwide became new US dollar millionaires in 2025, according to the UBS Global Wealth Report 2026. The United States led this surge, adding over 441,000 new millionaires, while India secured the sixth spot with more than 31,000.

The global landscape of wealth expanded significantly in 2025, with approximately one million individuals achieving US dollar millionaire status. This equates to an astonishing 2,680 new millionaires every single day, as revealed by the comprehensive UBS Global Wealth Report 2026. Despite ongoing economic uncertainties, inflationary pressures, and geopolitical tensions, the report underscores a period of robust global wealth creation.

United States Dominates New Millionaire Creation

The United States firmly maintained its position as the world's primary engine for wealth generation, accounting for nearly half of all new millionaires globally. The nation added over 441,000 new millionaires in 2025 alone, a testament to its strong stock market performance, substantial gains within the technology sector, and high participation rates in various financial assets. This surge highlights the dynamic economic environment fostered across American industries.

Global Wealth Hubs: Europe and Asia Contribute Significantly

Beyond the US, Europe emerged as a significant region for wealth creation, with six of its countries featuring prominently in the top 10 list of nations adding the most new millionaires. Asia also showcased its growing economic might, with Japan, India, South Korea, and China representing continued expansion in household wealth across both developed and emerging economies.
