The September 2026 quarter proved to be a dynamic period for stock market investors, prompting many to re-evaluate and adjust their portfolios amidst prevailing market volatility. Even seasoned investors like Dolly Khanna and Rekha Jhunjhunwala made strategic moves, booking profits in select counters, while others such as Vijay Kedia bolstered their positions in high-conviction bets.
Rekha Jhunjhunwala's Portfolio Adjustments
Rekha Jhunjhunwala, wife of the late Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, marginally trimmed her stake in the public sector lender Canara Bank. She divested 37.75 lakh equity shares during the September 2026 quarter. Her holding in the bank now stands at 12,54,18,000 equity shares, representing a 1.38 percent stake as of September 30, 2026, down from 1.42 percent in the previous quarter.
Conversely, the ace investor maintained her position in NCC Ltd, holding 7,83,33,266 equity shares, which translates to a 12.48 percent stake in the company, valued at over Rs 950 crore.
Dolly Khanna Slashes Chennai Petroleum Holding
Celebrity investor Dolly Khanna also made significant changes, reducing her holding in Chennai Petroleum Corporation Ltd. Her stake in the company decreased by 3.85 lakh equity shares, bringing her total to 15,13,689 equity shares, or 1.02 percent, as of September 30, 2026. This stake is valued at approximately Rs 235 crore. In the preceding quarter (June 30, 2026), the Chennai-based investor held 18,98,724 equity shares in Chennai Petro.

During the July-September 2026 period, he acquired over 3.70 lakh additional shares, raising his holding to 51,55,555 equity shares, or 1.19 percent, in Q2FY27. This marks an increase from his 1.10 percent stake in Q1FY27, with his current holding valued at Rs 34.5 crore.
Kedia, however, kept his stake in Om Infra Ltd unchanged, maintaining 24,00,000 equity shares, or 2.49 percent.
