Shares of Indian IT major Tech Mahindra saw a 3% increase in early trade on Thursday, July 2, 2026, after the company announced a significant acquisition. Tech Mahindra Servicos De Informatica S.A, a subsidiary of Tech Mahindra, has entered into a Quota Purchase Agreement with Orange Business Services Brasil LTDA to acquire Alyis Serviços Técnicos LTDA, a firm based in Brazil.
This acquisition is a crucial part of an existing partnership between Tech Mahindra and Orange Business. The broader collaboration involves outsourcing selected international operations, including global customer support, quote-to-bill processes, and post-sale assistance.
Alyis Serviços Técnicos LTDA currently operates in Brazil, providing support for the Latin American (LATAM) region. Integrating Alyis into Tech Mahindra's operations will enable the company to offer seamless and enhanced support to Orange Business customers throughout the region.
Following the completion of the transaction, Alyis Serviços Técnicos LTDA will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tech Mahindra Servicos De Informatica S.A, and by extension, a wholly-owned step-down subsidiary of Tech Mahindra. The acquisition cost is approximately Rs 2.21 crore.
On the stock market, Tech Mahindra shares climbed to Rs 1402.20, up from their previous close of Rs 1362.20. The company's market capitalization stood at Rs 1.37 lakh crore. Despite this gain, the stock has faced headwinds, trading lower than its 5-day, 10-day, 20-day, 30-day, 50-day, 100-day, and 200-day moving averages. The stock has also recorded a 13% decline since the beginning of the year and a 16% fall over the last twelve months.
